MAGA Extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany is a Disaster for Rural Healthcare
MADISON, Wis. — In Congress, MAGA extremist Tom Tiffany voted for the devastating “Big Ugly Bill” that put the rural healthcare centers that farmers rely on at risk, threatening the closures of three rural hospitals in Wisconsin.
“MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany has gutted rural healthcare and made life more expensive for rural Wisconsinites by cutting Medicaid and putting rural healthcare centers at risk,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Tom Tiffany has nothing to bring to the table for rural Wisconsinites but a cruel record of steep cuts and broken promises.”
Trump’s new prescription drug tariffs would send generic medication costs sky-high. In Congress, Tiffany has voted seven times to protect Trump’s tariffs and cosponsored generic prescription drug import taxes in a 2020 bill that was so extreme only two other members of Congress cosponsored it. Pharmacists in Wisconsin called Tiffany out for his support, saying he has been “no friend to pharmacy or to healthcare in the state of Wisconsin.”
